REFURBISHMENT OF A 1850s STONE HOUSE

Researching the history of a property ensures that we are able to design a sensitive addition or reconfigure the internal space. This particular stone house was built circa 1850 with an extension added in the 1980s, and a second in 2004. The original brief was to add an extension, however by simply re-configuring the original space, adding a new entrance porch and hall, we created three bedrooms, two of which have en-suites, an office, a playroom / snug, a double-height open kitchen / dining / lounge opening up onto the garden, a utility / boot room and even a special place for the dog!

REFURBISHMENT OF 3 FLATS INTO 1 FAMILY HOME

“We’ve recently taken on a huge renovation project to turn a 1860’s Victorian terrace into a family home. We really hadn’t considered how much help we would actually need, but with Maria’s guidance we were able to see the true potential of the property (which meant moving walls and reinstating original doorways and fireplaces).

From planning out the entire existing floor plan and newly proposed floor plan, to suggestions and guidance on everything from floor materials to furniture. Maria has not only saved us a huge amount of time, she’s also given us ideas we would never have considered.

If you need help with your residential or commercial interior design, I highly recommend you speak with Maria!”

REFURBISHMENT OF A DERELICT STONE COTTAGE

“Maria has turned a derelict cottage built before the 1700s, into a family home. The design included the refurbishment of the original stone cottage, adding power, water, drainage, a new roof and new windows, doors and sliders. Maria then also designed two sensitive extensions, both within permitted development as the property is on green belt land. The whole development has one natural and timeless material and colour palette, with stone, oak, slate, green smoke, anthracite, pointing, marble and brushed brass.”
